Hardness testing and metallography
Microstructure assessment under the microscope
In order to visualise the microstructure under the microscope, the preparation of the material requires a number of preparatory steps.
It is very important to have an understanding of the properties and processing of the material in order to avoid errors when preparing and assessing the microstructure.
Metallography is the qualitative and quantitative analysis of the structure of metallic materials using macroscopic and microscopic methods. The analysis is carried out by our highly qualified laboratory staff.
