Examination of screws
Tensile test, hardness test, edge decarburisation control
Although screws may appear simple at first glance, comprehensive tests are required to ensure their functionality and suitability. We are able to carry out all the tests required by DIN EN ISO 898 Part 1.
Thanks to state-of-the-art computer-controlled tensile testing machines, we can use graphical analyses to precisely determine the yield strengths and technical elongation limits even in full tensile tests for tempered screws. This ensures that all standards are met.

Further tests on screws
- Restart test: The restart test is used to check whether the minimum tempering temperature was reached during heat treatment.
- Head impact test: The head impact test is crucial for evaluating the transition between the bolt head and shank or thread under impact load.
- Torsion test: The torsion test is used to determine the breaking torque. This allows you to ensure that your screws can withstand the specified loads.
- Surface integrity (surface defect testing): Surface integrity testing is critical to ensure that screws do not have surface defects that could affect their function and reliability.
- Visual inspection: Our visual inspections ensure that screws are free of external defects and damage. This is important to ensure the quality and reliability of your products.
Our comprehensive testing of screws aims to ensure that your screws meet the highest quality and safety standards. Contact us to find out more about these services and how they can help improve the quality of your products.
